Morning Player Notes in the Draft (Nov 10)

The injury concerns for the Buffalo Sabres keep on coming, as they were also without centre Ryan O'Reilly on Wednesday night, when they played the Ottawa Senators.  The pivot is considered to be day-to-day with an undisclosed injury, but the team was not offering any real update to when they will be expecting him back in the lineup.  The Sabres play again tomorrow night, at home to the Devils, and he will be questionable, at best, right now.

Dale B.'s team sits in 10th place after Wednesday night, only 4 points short of the 100-point plateau, which is the next milestone to hit.  His team is only 15 points short of the lead and could really use O'Reilly back in the active roster before too long.

The Columbus Blue Jackets were without forward Brandon Dubinsky on Wednesday night against the Anaheim Ducks, but the reason wasn't disclosed in this case either.  He is considered to be day-to-day, but the Jackets are right back at it on Thursday night, visiting the Boston Bruins and we haven't seen word as to whether he will dress or not.  Stay tuned!

Undisclosed news is the worst news to get, because who knows what it is going to end up being?  Wilton is playing the wait-and-see game here and not at a great time, since his team is close to the bottom of the weekly scoring, with only 3 points, dropping from 11th to 14th.  Dubinsky hasn't been great, regardless, only 2 points in 10 games, so it could have been a healthy scratch for all we know.

An update from one of the games last night, which saw Blackhawks forward Artem Anisimov leave the game against the Blues with an upper-body injury. The red-hot Russian left the game in the 2nd period, before he could register a point to keep an 11-game streak going.  He's considered to be day-to-day and will be reevaluated before Friday night's game against the Capitals.

Marcin has been getting a whole lot of production out of his Blackhawks to start the season and Anisimov has been his 2nd-best player to start, registering 17 points in the first 14 games.  With this sort of production, his pool team has jumped up into the money, sitting in 3rd place after Wednesday night, 2 points out of 1st.
