Noon Player Notes (Oct 12)
Thursday night wasn't a bad night for players returning to their respective lineups, from a number of different reasons for being away. Both Tyler Johnson of the Lightning and Niklas Kronwall of the Red Wings made their season debuts on Thursday, both coming back from injury. Dan Hamhuis of the Predators spent a couple of nights in the press box and made his way back to the lineup against the Jets. Tristan Jarry was officially recalled on Thursday, as the Penguins need to keep a close eye on their cap spending, but he only made it as far as the backup goalie stool against the Golden Knights.
None of the four players had an impact on the scoresheets, which didn't help Grant, John P., Jesse or Neil, respectively, but having those bodies back in their active lineups is a positive. You can't score points when you're not suiting up to play.
