Sens' Tkachuk Out a Month

Bad news for the Ottawa Senators, as they have lost one of their most exciting and productive members of their current youth movement to injury, as announced on Wednesday morning.  Brady Tkachuk will be out of their lineup for upwards of a month with a torn ligament in his leg.

Tkachuk was off to a very good start to the season, picking up 3 goals and 6 points in only four games, good enough to rank him 58th overall in hockey pool scoring, qualifying him to be a 3rd round pick, if we were to redo the draft today.

In the hockey pool, the rookie belongs to Stuart this year, who took him in the final round of the draft, the 14th round, 337th overall, so that pick was starting to look like a massive bargain.  The reigning champ was off to a decent start to the year as well, ranking 8th after Tuesday night's action, but currently sitting in the Basement Dweller spot for the week with only 1 point to his name, Tkachuk registering that point for him.

Tkachuk is also Stuart's only entry in the rookie pool, where he sits in 2nd place on Wednesday morning, claiming the 6 points, which is 6 points behind Clayton's team in the race.
