We had a second move made in the preseason Waiver Draft on Monday, as Grant did decide to drop
Curtis McElhinney for his eventual replacement
Garret Sparks, keeping with a Toronto Maple Leafs theme. The Leafs are supposed to be doing quite well this year and if the backup can give
Frederik Andersen some quality nights off in busy stretches on the schedule, that would only make them that much better.
Grant's team now stays relatively competitive with a couple of goalies under his roof, but who's really to say how many starts Sparks is scheduled to get this season?
