Rattie on IR
On Sunday, the Edmonton Oilers officially placed forward Ty Rattie on the Injured Reserve, as he is now expected to miss the next couple weeks with a core muscle issue.
Rattie was the darling of the preseason, scoring at an uncontrollable rate when the games didn't seem to matter, but he has since seen a downturn in that scoring rate, as he has only posted 1 goal and 2 points in five games played.
This is really turning the 2019 season into a bit of a nightmare for the Brenda & Seward, who were already without Christian Dvorak in Arizona (hurt) and William Nylander in Toronto (unsigned) and missing out on Rattie means that they'll be without three key forwards. The duo currently rank last in points and in skater games played and the two are mutually linked, since they just don't have the bodies going, they're just not getting the points. Here's hoping that Rattie isn't out for any more than the two weeks expected.
