The St. Louis Blues have been another one of those teams that have seen some pretty bad luck this season when it comes to injuries. Last night against the Ducks, Manny Legace was involved in a collision which injured the keeper's head. Legace had to leave the game and wasn't able to return to action and is now listed as out day-to-day with the injury. The Blues have recalled Ben Bishop to back-up Chris Mason for the time being.
Legace belongs to John B. in the Draft, where his 8 wins (or 16 points) have helped elevate John to the top of the pool standings. The Blues hope that he won't be out of the line-up, which does seem likely as there isn't a terrible panic in the news today surrounding Legace. If he is out long=term, it makes Derek's dropping of Mason in the Waiver Draft look a little silly. Mason is to be groomed as the number one guy in St. Louis for the time being, so he'll likely see a good number of starts in Legace's absence.
