The Flames don't expect to have Curtis Glencross in the line-up for their game against the Blues on Tuesday night. Glencross suffered a lower body injury on the weekend and will likely miss the next couple of games for the team. Glencross, a Draft pick of Marcus' and a Box 7 forward, has had a reasonably productive first season with Calgary, scoring 5 goals and adding 14 assists in 30 games with the club, making him a decent pick-up this year.
The Panthers have decided to send Shawn Matthias back down to the minors, along with Michal Repik, on Monday. The team is starting to get back some of their veteran forwards and will have their young players continue to get seasoned with the farm club for the time being. This season, Matthias, a Box 25 forward, has played in 10 games with the club, registering only 1 assist.
The Kings were forced to go to Jason LaBarbera in the second half of their match-up with the Sharks on Monday night, as Erik Ersberg, who started the game, had to leave the game with a lower body injury. LaBarbera, in the end, was credited with the shootout loss, but the biggest loss to the Kings is Ersberg, who has been playing quite well of late, having earned most of the starting minutes over the last month. Ersberg is represented in the Sheet pool in Box 16.
Finally, it looks like Sergei Fedorov is back on the shelf for the Capitals. Fedorov had just returned from an ankle injury on Friday night and it looks to be another ankle injury, if not the same ankle, which has given him problems. Enough so, they don't expect him to be in the line-up tonight against the Islanders. In 15 games this season, Fedorov has 4 goals and 8 assists. You can imagine what his production would be like if he was healthy for the whole season by now.
