It's been a pretty long road back from injury, but the Penguins are set to have Ryan Whitney back in the line-up for Tuesday night's game at home to Tampa Bay. Today, the Penguins called up Whitney to join the team and he'll play his first game this season, which is good news for Grant, who has been sitting patiently in the Draft with Whitney in hand. The return of Whitney should mean good things for the Penguins power play, which is already one of the best in the league with the likes of Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin already manning spots on the man-advantage.
Opening up a spot for Whitney tonight will be Kristopher Letang, who was reportedly injured in the Penguins' last game in Buffalo last night. We can only assume that Letang will be out for the short-term with this injury. Letang, a Draft pick of John P., has been a pretty solid player on the blueline, having 13 points in 33 games for the Penguins.
