With a stretch of injuries to both Rostislav Olesz and Kamil Kreps, the Panthers have now recalled Box 25 forward, Shawn Matthias, from the AHL to jump into the line-up and fill a gap in the middle of the ice. This is Matthias' third call-up to the Panthers this season and he has already played in 11 games, registering 1 assist.Also with the Panthers, they have sent down Box 29 defenseman, Cory Murphy, to the AHL for a conditioning stint, as he is returning from a major shoulder injury. Murphy has only played in 8 games this season, registering 1 assist.
