Draft Players Going to the 2012 All-Star Game

On Thursday afternoon, the NHL announced the remainder of the players that are set to play in Ottawa at the All-Star Game in a couple of weeks.  I have broken out the rosters, including the rookies, to show how many players from each side are going to the game.

The rookies will not be playing in the All-Star Game itself, so they won't count in the points column, which I have set aside for, what I hope is a high-scoring affair.

Leading the way in the pool is Stuart G., who has six players on his roster going to the big show, but two of them are rookies and will be in the YoungStars competition, so only four of his players will be able to rack up some points for him this year.

Only two pool teams were shutout of players going to the All-Star festivities, Benson G. and Leon G..  For having a team that is in 7th place in the standings, it is awfully surprising that Benson doesn't have a player going, while Leon, being in 15th, doesn't seem quite as surprising.  Nevertheless, in a fantasy draft at the beginning of the season, you would think that you would be able to pick up at least one.

Both Scott G. and Darren S. did pick up their only All-Stars in the first waiver draft, so they were able to make up for their lack of representation then.

The All-Star Game is a great time to put on some side bets, if you make them, but I would make sure that you check the roster below, before you go throwing your money away.
