The Calgary Flames are expecting to be without Box 4 forward Brendan Morrison for Thursday night's game in Los Angeles, as the veteran pivot is reportedly suffering from an upper-body injury. Morrison is still with the team on this road trip, so the injury isn't feared to be any worse than a day-to-day injury, but they won't be in any rush to get him back into the line-up, since Matt Stajan is almost ready to go. Morrison's health has been a concern this year, since he has only played in 27 games this year for the Flames, picking up 4 goals and 7 assists in that time. It doesn't look like he'll become valuable this season.
It looks like Blackhawks forward Bryan Bickell has has hit a bit of a wall in the 2012 season, as he was a healthy scratch again for Chicago on Wednesday night, as the team took on the Sabres and the team managed to do well without him. The Box 8 forward only has 4 goals and 5 assists in 40 games for Chicago, which isn't good production at all. Bickell may probably get a good lift in his game when the playoffs roll around, but that really doesn't help his game in the regular season, when people are counting on points then.
