Luongo Out With Injured Hand

On Saturday, the Florida Panthers put goaltender Roberto Luongo on the Injured Reserve, as he suffered a hand injury on Friday night against the Penguins. There wasn't a lot of details on the injury itself, but with placement on the IR, Luongo won't be eligible to come back to the lineup until next weekend.

The Panthers veteran netminder has been struggling to start the season, as he has made four appearances for the cats, but has only posted a single win, so far, currently ranked 409th in pool scoring.

The injury will now give the reins to James Reimer for the next little while, who has fared a little bit better, posting a couple wins in four appearances of his own.

Stuart hasn't been getting much out of either goaltender on his team, as Luongo's win is the only one he has between the veteran and Louis Domingue in Arizona.  The gain here will be for Troy's team, which opens Sunday night, only 3 points back of Stuart's team and Reimer has been the better of the two Florida goalies anyways.

Neither Stuart or Troy are still in the goalie survivor pool, so their impact will be in the overall points pool for the rest of the season.
