The Anaheim Ducks had a potential restricted free agent signed back up on Wednesday night, on the eve of their opening night, as they signed defenseman Josh Manson to a new 4-year contract extension. The extension has been valued at $4 million per season and he can now confirm that he is a valuable member of the Ducks organization.
Manson had 17 points in all 82 games for the Ducks last season, among the pool worthy defenders, and he was also a 14th round pick for Dale B., his last pick of this year's draft. With still a year left on his deal, it is really intriguing to think of what Manson might do this year, if he doesn't have to earn a new deal in the summer.
