The Kings re-signed restricted free agent defenseman
Alec Martinez to a new 2-year deal on Friday, reported to be worth $X million. Martinez jumped onto the scene in the 2011 season, playing 60 games for the club, scoring 5 goals and adding 11 assists. Out of virtually nowhere, Martinez jumped into 107th among defensemen in scoring, making him an outside possibility as a defensive scoring sleeper in the 2012 hockey pool draft.
