The Panthers continue to deal on Saturday afternoon, this time acquiring prospect defenseman Keith Seabrook from the Flames for another prospect defenseman Jordan Henry.
In Seabrook, the Panthers have acquired a defenseman with an active NHL bloodline, but the younger of two brothers has now been traded twice between clubs and has yet to see a game in the show in his career. Expectations may be high, because of his older brother, but at the same time, if he was going to live up to any expectations, he may have done so by now.
The Flames, in return, receive a defenseman that has not cracked into the big leagues just yet, unless you were to count the one season he spent in the KHL in 2011. By the looks of his career numbers, he is a tougher customer that spends his fair share of time in the penalty box, but doesn't exactly have numbers to give any blueline a scoring boost.
Seabrook has a greater chance of making the Panthers than Henry does of making the Flames, but Seabrook probably didn't have much of a chance to make the Flames either.
