The New York Islanders were without one of their more prolific scorers this season, as they took on the Washington Capitals on Tuesday night, as P.A. Parenteau was out of the line-up with an undisclosed upper-body injury. Parenteau was reportedly injured early last week in a game, but was able to play through the injury for a couple of games, but it looks like the injury caught up with him on Tuesday.
Parenteau is reportedly out day-to-day, but was on the ice with the team on Wednesday morning for practice, so there are some good signs going forward.
Parenteau has been one of the key reasons why Dale B. has had such an amazing season in the draft, with career-highs in points this year (61 points in 69 games), he turned into one hell of a bargain in the draft, taken at the 294th position. That is some real late round production. Dale goes into Wednesday's action in 2nd place, 4 points back of the lead.
