A pair of blueline injury notes for the Montreal Canadiens, as the team expects to be without both Tomas Kaberle and Andrei Markov for their game on Friday night against the Senators. Both defensemen are suffering from upper-body injuries (which was heavily stressed for Markov) and they are both listed as out day-to-day right now. Kaberle missed the team's last game due to an addition to the family, while Markov has only played in three games this season after returning from a major knee injury. I am beginning to wonder if this might be the flu or some kind of illness.
Kaberle belongs to John P. and Markov belongs to Wes M. this season, neither of which have much to do with the money this late in the season and since they belong to the Canadiens, they will have no part in the playoffs, so this is just a minor note to consider.
On Thursday night, the New York Rangers lost the services of forward Artem Anisimov to an undisclosed injury, having to leave the game in the 2nd period and he was not able to return for the 3rd. On Friday morning, the coaching staff were as vague as usual, saying that Anisimov and Steve Eminger were out for practice today and their status for Saturday evening's game against the Avalanche is still up in the air. If Anisimov is not good to go on Saturday, we'll consider him out day-to-day, until further notice.
No money implications here, as Scott G. has Anisimov and he currently stands in 20th spot, going into Friday night's action. No real news here, but you may want to keep an eye on him any way, since he could be one of your options in the playoff pool.
