The Columbus Blue Jackets announced on Thursday morning that they now expect to be without defenseman Fedor Tyutin for the long-term, which could last through the end of the regular season. Apparently, Tyutin suffered the injury on Tuesday night and the team is not very optimistic, nor do they likely feel it necessary for him to return, as they are so far out of the playoff picture, it's laughable.
Tyutin has been solid for the Jackets this season, playing in all 66 games to this point in the season, scoring 5 goals and 21 assists, which is good enough for 255th overall in pool scoring, 35th among defensemen. This won't be where he finishes his season, with still a month to play, but if you were to look back at this post and you saw that he was ranked this high through 66 games, you may want to consider giving him a boost for your draft ratings for next season.
The 2012 season is coming apart at the seams for Dale C., who is losing games to injury in a big hurry and he is falling further and further behind in the money race, as we speak. Going into a very busy Thursday night, he sits in 7th place, 21 points out of 5th and with injuries piling up, we're getting to the point where we're about to call his eligibility for the money void.
