With Paul Gaustad returning to the Nashville Predators line-up, it meant that the team had some other changes to it, including the healthy scratching of Craig Smith on Saturday night. Smith has been an exceptional rookie this year for the Predators, 33 points in 70 games in the 2012 season, but the team has all kinds of depth, so a healthy scratch could be more about getting bodies into the line-up, more than it is punishing some poor play. I would expect Smith to be back in the Nashville line-up before too long.
Not much impact to the money here, as Smith was a high pick in the first waiver draft this year, taken by Derek W., who currently sits in 21st spot in the standings. Smith hasn't figured into the playoff pool this year, so his value will cut out at the end of the regular season.
