The Washington Capitals are hitting their stride these days, going 9-1-0 in their last 10 games and they still have bodies out of the line-up. Tonight, the Capitals do see a couple of returns to their line-up and also a couple of scratches tonight to make room for them as well. It's scary to think that they have good players coming back when they've won nine of their last ten.
Sergei Fedorov and Tomas Fleischmann returned to the line-up on Friday night, Fedorov from injury and Fleischmann from pneumonia. Both players have been out of the better part of the stretch of wins, but they will still be welcomed back with open arms.
Going out of the line-up on Friday night was Michael Nylander, Eric Fehr and Jeff Schultz. Nylander and Fehr are healthy scratches tonight, while Schultz has re-aggrevated a finger injury that he had suffered earlier this season and looks to miss a few games with his injury. Nylander and Fehr have been awfully quiet in the line-up of late and a scratch could help get them back on track. With all the returnees, there is a good chance that Fehr could be sent back down to the minors as well. Stay tuned for that.
