The Thrashers decided to sit Box 18 forward, Eric Perrin, for their match against the Canucks on Friday night. Perrin, 33, had himself a pretty decent year last season, earning some first line time with Ilya Kovalchuk, but he hasn't had the same kind of production this season, only picking up 3 goals and 6 assists in 37 games this season. Worthy of being scratched, I'd say.
After being a healthy scratch on Thursday night, the Sabres decided to give Nathan Gerbe some top line work in the AHL, as they sent him back down to the minors on Friday night. The Box 25 forward played in 6 games for the Sabres this season and had registered 1 assist.
