On Wednesday night, the Blackhawks lost the services of their hot rookie, Kris Versteeg, in the second period, due to an apparent hand injury. The Waiver Draft pick of Chris' did not return to the game and is now questionable for his appearance in the YoungStars game in Montreal on Saturday. He is supposed to be re-evaluated today, but there is still no news there.
On Wednesday night, the Capitals sent down three of their non-waiver eligible players down to the minors to keep their legs going through this All-Star Break, including Box 30 defenseman, Karl Alzner. Alzner should be a lock to return to the Capitals after the break has ended, as they are still without Tom Poti and Brian Pothier to injury.Click here to see an updated injury page.
