According to theahl.com this morning, the Hurricanes have decided to demote Box 25 forward, Brandon Sutter, to Albany of the AHL for a couple of weeks for some conditioning. Sutter has been a healthy scratch of late for Carolina, likely still getting used to the rigors of the big league game. The Hurricanes only sit one point out of 8th place in the East, so they are likely looking forward to a refreshed Sutter to help them out for the last few weeks of the season push.
This season, Sutter has 6 points in 50 games for the Hurricanes, playing some solid minutes on the third and fourth lines. Sutter is considered to be more of an defensive forward, in the classic mould of the Sutter boys. His fantasy value is quite low right now.
