With only one game on the schedule (and a low scoring one at that), there really isn't too much to report. The only game that went, San Jose & Dallas, only managed to put in one new entry on the news/injuries page, there was an update for an injured player on the comeback trail and finally, a non-injury tidbit of news that will keep a player out of the line-up for a short period of time. Welcome to Tuesday, everybody. Also, I will be posting a new set of polls, which will change every time there is a trade, so you can let me know which one was the biggest before the deadline.
The only new scratch from the game played last night was Box 4 forward, Mike Modano, who sat out of the game with the flu. Doesn't sound like it was anything major, just couldn't quite work up the legs to go last night. The Stars don't go again until Thursday night, as St. Louis comes to town, and we should expect to see him back in the line-up then.
The Kings granted Dustin Brown non-roster status for the time being, as he went home for the birth of his second child. The Kings play tonight in Minnesota, Wednesday in Philadelphia and then again on Friday in Detroit. There was no actual word as to when he'll be able to get back into the line-up, but Clayton hopes that it's soon, as he's in the midst of a money race in the Draft.
It looks as though Kurtis Foster will be making his much-anticipated return to the Minnesota Wild line-up, either tonight at home to Los Angeles or Friday in Calgary. Foster has just finished his conditioning stint in Houston of the AHL and will try to crack their line-up again right away. In Houston, Foster had 6 points in 6 games, where the Aeros went 6-0-0 with him in the line-up. The squeeze of the Northwest Division may have gotten just a tad bit tighter.
