Giordano Out Indefinitely

The Flames are not expecting to see Mark Giordano back in their line-up for an extended period of time. Giordano underwent surgery on his shoulder after he had it injured in the Flames game against the Wild last week. This should come as a pretty big blow and may keep a few rumoured names in the city through the trade deadline. The question is, does this change the Flames' outlook at the trade deadline and would they bump up 'an offensive defenseman' on their priority list?

As a defenseman, this may not hinder Ryan's chances too greatly of improving his position in the Draft, but it certainly doesn't help when you lose a player for a long period of time. Ryan only sits 12 points out of the money going into Week Twenty-Two.

This season, Giordano has accumulated 19 points in 58 games and since he was picked up in the Waiver Draft, Ryan has cashed in on 9 points in 34 games.
