It looks like the Senators will be without their captain, Daniel Alfredsson, for tonight's game against the Canucks due to a fractured jaw. The Senators are fearful that the injury could keep Alfredsson out of the line-up for a little bit longer than just one game. If the injury is reported to be worse, it will be updated here.
The Flyers are doing their best to hold back Daniel Briere from coming back too early, but the small forward insists that he is just about ready to go. There was talk that Briere wanted to return over the weekend, but that does seem rather unlikely, as the team wants him to get as many days of rest in before testing his injured groin in a game situation.
It looks like the Sharks are getting healthier, as the team upgraded the status of Jeremy Roenick, Tomas Plihal, Jody Shelley and Brad Lukowich, saying that all four are getting closer to returning to the line-up. Roenick, the only pool player on the Sheet, is said to be now day-to-day with his shoulder injury and could be back sooner, rather than later. It'll be something else if the Sharks can get healthy again, as they haven't been playing poorly in the absence of these players.
