Wednesday Morning Go-Around

The Thrashers didn't dress Marty Reasoner again last night in their game in Tampa Bay. Reasoner has turned into a semi-regular healthy scratch with the Thrashers of late, which severely takes away from his fantasy value. In 53 games this season, Reasoner only has 8 goals and 9 assists, which doesn't bode well for his unrestricted free agency status this summer.

This morning, it is expected that Rostislav Klesla will be placed back on the Injured Reserve with a separated shoulder. Being placed on the IR does automatically mean that he'll miss at least a week, but the new fashionable injury of a separated shoulder is beginning to cost a lot of defensemen the remainder of their season. His official status will be announced later on Monday after his evaluation.

An on-again, off-again player in the Flyers line-up, Lasse Kukkonen, has now been sent to the minors after clearing waivers on Tuesday. Kukkonen has only figured into 21 games this year, registering a pair of assists, which is far from what the Flyers had in mind for offense from the blueline. Kukkonen shouldn't have much for fantasy value for the remainder of this season and shouldn't have much stock at the beginning of next year.

Well, it's just not Paul Ranger's year. Sure, he has played 43 games this season, but he has failed to stay in the Lightning line-up on a consistent basis, which has to be frustrating, to say the least. Ranger missed last night's game against Atlanta with a mysterious upper body injury, one that the coaching staff wouldn't elaborate on. For now, his status will remain day-to-day, until otherwise noted.
