Lang Season Finished

Well, it's as bad as feared this morning, as Robert Lang will be out of the Habs' line-up indefinitely when it was discovered that he will have to undergo surgery to repair his torn Achilles tendon. This is definitely the worst-case scenario for the Canadiens, who were enjoying a big season from Lang. With only ten weeks to go in the season, it's highly unlikely he'll be ready to go before the playoffs, possibly done for the playoffs as well.

As the Waiver Draft results get activated today, Derek will now be missing out on a key forward for the rest of the season. This season, Lang finished playing 50 games, registering 18 goals and 21 assists, and was a key component to the Canadiens depth up front.

Look to drop Lang if you have him on the Sheet, as soon as possible.
