Well, just when the Canadiens thought that it couldn't get much worse, they learned that a slew footed trip has just cost Tomas Plekanec the remainder of the team's Northwest Division swing (Colorado & Vancouver). Plekanec was suspended for those two games after slew footing the Oilers' Denis Grebeshkov, which will likely cost the defender two weeks worth of action.
Plekanec has also suffered in his production this season, much like a few of his teammates (okay, maybe most of his teammates), having only 11 goals and 14 assists in 55 games. As a Draft pick of Wes', he certainly has been a leading contributor to his poor standing in the Draft. Will a small suspension help to right his own ship and thus help the Canadiens turn this wayward boat around? I know Wes sure does.
