Some Quick Friday Night Notes

Well, I sort of forgot that Brandon Sutter was on the Sheet, but there he is in Box 25. Sutter has been a healthy scratch for the Hurricanes over the past few games. I would imagine that the long season has been taking it's toll on Sutter, which would make sense to give him a rest. Expect to see him back in the line-up soon.

The Lightning coaching staff wanted to give Mark Recchi a maintenance day, sitting him out in their game against the Hurricanes. The Lightning are out of the playoff race at the moment and it does seem a little silly to rest a player who won't have a hope of being in the playoffs, unless a rest is going to increase his value at the deadline.

The Canucks have lost the services of Box 9 forward, Jannik Hansen, for an indefinite period of time due to a finger injury. Hansen was hurt in the game against the Senators on Thursday night. Hansen is not expected to be in the line-up for the rest of their current road trip and likely will be re-evaluated when the Canucks get home next week.
