Gerbe Out 6 Weeks
The lower-body injury that has sidelined Carolina Hurricanes forward Nathan Gerbe, will reportedly now keep him out for 4-to-6 weeks, according to the beat reporters for the team. He was placed on the Injured Reserve on Tuesday, but none of the reports out there disclosed the exact nature of the injury.
The diminutive forward hasn't exactly been a catalyst for offense in the Hurricanes lineup this season, only able to pick up 1 goals and 3 points in 20 games this season. He is currently ranked 491st in pool scoring after Monday night's action.
Stacey M. should be looking in his direction for a drop at the Waiver Draft next week, as the return on his pick hasn't been very good... and he was taken in the last round of the draft.
Stacey's team will likely be looking to jump back into the money conversation next week, as her team has no real shot at the three mini-games; already ousted from the survivor pool, no rookies and the current Lady Byng team in the pool. It will be all about scoring for her side in Week Nine.
