Goalie Announcements (Nov 18)
Ryan was the only team to move on to Week Eight in the survivor pool last night, as Pekka Rinne was able to register a win for the Predators, helping him to move on. Only five teams left to do the same this week...
... and there is only three games on the schedule on Wednesday night. Fortunately for the survivor pool, each game has some interest in it.
In the early game, Stuart will have Ondrej Pavelec in the net for the Jets, as they play host to the road-weary Canucks. At the other end of the ice, it will be Ryan Miller (Clayton) for Vancouver, and as both teams are suffering going in, one team will look to change some momentum with a win.
Next up on the docket is the Washington Capitals heading into Detroit to take on the Red Wings and the survivor pool will be keeping an eye on Braden Holtby, getting the start for Jeremy tonight, while he'll be taking on Petr Mrazek, one of Tony's goalies.
Finally, if Pavelec fails to pick up a win tonight, Stuart gets one more shot, as Corey Crawford and the Blackhawks invade Edmonton, scheduled to take on the Oilers, who will throw Anders Nilsson (non-pool) at them in response. I would think this would give Stuart better odds to move on, but this is why we play the game.
