Sutter to Miss Two More Weeks
Just ahead of the late game last night, between Vancouver and Chicago, the Canucks announced that forward Brandon Sutter, who has already been out since November 10th, has an abdominal strain injury and he will be re-evaluated in two weeks time.
Sutter was one of the Canucks' bigger off-season moves, trying to solidify the centre position heading into the 2016 season and he has been decent at both ends of the ice to start the year. In his first 16 games this season, he has 4 goals and 8 points. After a couple of weeks on the shelf already, his scoring ranking has fallen down to 249th after Saturday night.
Even after those two weeks on the shelf, he was still a bargain pick for Dale B., who picked him with the 311th overall pick in the 12th round, which is one of the big reasons why his team still sits atop of the standings, even if it is just by a thread now.
Heading into Sunday, Dale has a 3-point lead over John P. and six projected games in hand.
