Wisniewski Suspended Two Games

Boy, oh boy... even more news coming down the pipe on a Monday afternoon. The Ducks will be without defenseman James Wisniewski for the next two games, due to a 2-game suspension he received after Sunday's game against the Coyotes. Wisniewski was suspended for a hit to the head on Shane Doan on a penalty kill. The forearm shot to the head has qualified under the unpublished guidelines of high hits worthy of a suspension, so Wisniewski will sit.

ImplicationsWhen in the Ducks line-up, Wisniewski has been quite the offensive threat, registering nine assists in his first nine games of the season, being one of Ryan's best defensemen in the Draft. Wisniewski did miss three games already this year with a shoulder problem, but he hasn't really missed a beat when returning. Ryan currently sits fifth in the Draft and was putting Wisniewski's scoring to good use.

On the Sheet, Wisniewski currently resides in Box 13, where he was taken twice. He is also the best defenseman in that box with his 9 points, so when he returns, he may be a good pick-up, especially if you have Mathieu Schneider or Brett Lebda.
