Morning Player Notes in the Draft (Oct 25)

The Buffalo Sabres did not expect to have goaltender Robin Lehner to travel with them to Philadelphia for their Tuesday night game against the Flyers, due to an illness. The Sabres recalled Linus Ullmark, so he could back-up Anders Nilsson tonight, so just in case there were any questions about that situation, we know why. Lehner is considered to be day-to-day, but tonight's start could be considered a missed start for him, as he was going to carry the load this year.

This will be a missed start for Jeremy, but he should have more than enough to cover for him in the survivor pool with Braden Holtby on his side.  Jeremy will open up Tuesday night 17th, 18 points behind 1st place.

Carolina Hurricanes forward Jeff Skinner was held out of Monday's practice for some medical tests, but what they are related to is still undisclosed, as of Tuesday morning. The Hurricanes are in Detroit tonight and he is not expected to be in the lineup for that one.  He is currently listed as out day-to-day and we'll keep an eye out for key updates.

Dale B. is in the thick of the good race, sitting in 6th place, 10 points out of 1st and has likely been happy with Skinner's production early on, 6 points in five games, but he is known to be injury prone, hence why he's on the list.  Big reward for a large risk.
