Goalie Announcements (Jan 14)

Jeremy lost another projected goalie start last night, with the Panthers visiting the Flames and getting shellacked, but Al Montoya did make an appearance in relief of Roberto Luongo, but that didn't really amount to much, especially since the Panthers were already down 4-0 at that point.

It will be a fairly busy Thursday night, with eight games on the schedule tonight, which includes the first of three games for the Washington Capitals, as their poised to go Thursday, Saturday and Sunday this week.  Jeremy finds this really important, as that may reduce his chances of a win, down to two starts from three, if the Capitals decide to rest Braden Holtby at one end of the back-to-back.

Holtby should be getting the start tonight for the Capitals, with the Vancouver Canucks in town.  Ryan Miller (Clayton) has been slated to make his return from a lower-body injury tonight, so the pickings could be right for Holtby and the Caps, so Jeremy may not have to worry about the weekend games to qualify for next week.

Other goalie match-ups tonight will include Henrik Lundqvist (Derek & Dan) versus Jaroslav Halak (Dale B.), Corey Crawford (Stuart) versus Mike Condon (John R.), Eddie Lack (Wes) versus Brian Elliott (Grant), Pekka Rinne (Ryan) versus Connor Hellebuyck (Allan), Cory Schneider (Troy) versus Calvin Pickard (non-pool), Petr Mrazek (Tony) against Louis Domingue (non-pool) and finally, Cam Talbot (Brian) against Martin Jones (Scott).
