Morning Player Notes in the Draft (Jan 13)

The Chicago Blackhawks were down a man, as they tried to help their head coach to a milestone win, as forward Artem Anisimov was feeling under the weather and couldn't go against the Nashville Predators and he's currently listed as out day-to-day.  The Blackhawks will have a busy finish to the week, so they'll be hopeful that he is feeling better before too long.

Sounds like it should be just a single game missed for John P.'s team in the pool, as they try to hang on to 3rd place, while his team continues to lose ground on 1st and 2nd place.  Anisimov has been a solid pick-up for him, 24 points in 44 games for the Hawks this season.

New Jersey Devils forward Jordin Tootoo was on the receiving end of a good beating from Ryan Reaves of the St. Louis Blues, as they went toe-to-toe, chucking some knuckles.  Tootoo reportedly had to gather himself before heading off the ice and straight to the dressing room, where he didn't return from.  The Devils are going to examine him later on Wednesday and hopefully have something to come back with about his status.

Tootoo did his job for Wes, which was earn him some penalty minutes, as the 5-minute major for fighting was a big help last night, but now there is some concern as to how much more he'll be able to help over the foreseeable future.  Wes' lead is now 53 minutes, so he has some time to use up for now.
