Henrik Out Until After All-Star Break
On Monday, the Vancouver Canucks provided a little bit more insight to the injury that their captain, Henrik Sedin, suffered on Sunday afternoon against the New York Islanders. Sedin's upper-body injury, believed to be to his chest, is now expected to keep him out until after the All-Star break, which will take the team into February before they see him in game action again.
This means that Sedin will miss the remainder of Week Sixteen and the shortened Week Seventeen, back for Week Eighteen, if all goes according to plan.
After Monday night's action, the 35-year old twin brother currently ranks 45th overall in pool scoring with 9 goals and 37 points in 44 games, as he was having a pretty good season, up until his injury.
In the hockey pool, this is a pretty big blow to Clayton's team, which was trying to find its way back into a more competitive conversation in the pool. His side is only 9 points out of the top 10, but losing a big scoring power like Sedin, should almost certainly slow his progress down.
