Goalie Announcements (Jan 21)

On Thursday night, we have 10 games on the schedule and Allan has two big shots at surviving into Week Sixteen and that's where we'll start our preview for the night's action.

The first crack at the can will be in Tampa Bay, as the Lightning will play host to the streaking Chicago Blackhawks and they will have Ben Bishop in net for Allan and he'll be taking on Corey Crawford (Stuart) to earn it.  It'll be a tough game, but definitely worthy of survival.

If the Lightning fail him, Allan will get another shot with Connor Hellebuyck and the Jets, as Pekka Rinne (Ryan) and the Nashville Predators are in Winnipeg for a big one in the Central Division standings.

Neither game appears to be easy for Allan, so he should be pretty pleased if he gets a win.

Our pool co-leaders, are at polar opposites of the goaltending scale on Thursday night, as Jeremy doesn't have a goalie going tonight, while Brenda & Seward have both of their goalies going.  First, Karri Ramo and the Flames are in Columbus to take on Sergei Bobrovsky (Troy) and the Blue Jackets and then it will be Jonathan Quick and the Kings hosting Darcy Kuemper (Dropped) and the Wild.

Troy appears to have both of his goalies going tonight, as Cory Schneider will get the nod for the Devils, with Craig Anderson (John P.) and the Ottawa Senators in town.

Also having both of his goalies going on Thursday will be Wes' team, as Jacob Markstrom gets the nod for the Canucks in Boston, likely taking on Tuukka Rask (Dale C.) and the Bruins and then Eddie Lack will get his first start as the number one guy in Carolina, as they visit James Reimer (John S.) and the Maple Leafs in Toronto tonight.

Those are the most notable starters tonight, as we'll also see Steve Mason (Derek W.) versus Marc-Andre Fleury (John R.) in Pittsburgh, Cam Talbot (Brian) versus Antti Niemi (Stacey M.) in Dallas and then Louis Domingue (non-pool) versus Martin Jones (Scott) in San Jose.
