Race to the Sin Bin (Jan 3)

Haven't been paying the PIM pool much mind lately, with some of the weekend activities going on around here, it's been tough to fit it all in.

Wes has been able to keep some distance in this pool's standings, as his side is 3rd in the weekly goonage with 28 PIM already and one more night to play.  He'll finish off the week with Ryan Kesler being his top occupant of the sin bin, playing in tonight's Winnipeg/Anaheim tilt, which could be a good one for minutes.

Derek & Dan, who sit 3rd, 46 minutes behind, will have one of their top hired guns going for them tonight, as the Senators are in Chicago to take on the Blackhawks, and Chris Neil will be looked upon to help keep the opposition in line.  In a non-division, non-conference game, it's hard to think it would be too messy tonight, but you just never know.

The 2nd place team, belonging to Dale B., will also have a hired gun tonight, with the Dallas Stars in Brooklyn to take on the Islanders.  Again, a non-divisional and non-conference match-up, so Antoine Roussel may be looked upon more for his scoring, than his pugilistic skills in this one tonight.

Both Brian and Dale C. are falling off the map in this competition and neither have anyone of note that could really turn the tides for them, from a prognostication standpoint.  You never know, Jamie Benn of the Stars or Niklas Hjalmarsson of the Blackhawks could get the boot for just about anything these days.
