Goalie Announcements (Jan 24)
It's a big football day in the NFL, but there are still going to be some hockey games going on today, as four out of five hockey games have the green light to go on Sunday.
It's the last day of Week Sixteen and I don't think anyone is catching Kristy & Don for the Mover & Shaker this week, so there isn't much that needs to be said in that race.
On top of the standings, Brenda & Seward appear to be getting a start from Karri Ramo today, as the Flames are in Carolina to take on Eddie Lack (Wes) and the Hurricanes today. The pool duo have a 4-point lead going into today and thanks to the snow, Jeremy doesn't get a start. With the Kings playing last night, it doesn't seem terribly likely that Jonathan Quick will get back-to-back starts, so the pool's leading duo may not be too lucky.
Instead, it should be Jhonas Enroth (Brian) taking on Martin Jones (Scott) and the Sharks tonight in San Jose.
It is expected that the 3rd place team, belonging to John P., should get a start today, as Craig Anderson should be the netminder for the Senators, with the Rangers in town. On the other side, it is expected to be Henrik Lundqvist (Derek & Dan). John has 5 points on Neil in 4th place and Neil doesn't have a start today either.
5th place, Stuart, is expecting to have Corey Crawford in net for the Blackhawks today and his match-up will be Brian Elliott (Grant) and the Blues in Chicago. Stuart opens Sunday, 11 points back of 3rd place, so a big game from Crawford could really shrink that down.
Let the games begin!
