Goalie Announcements (Jan 5)

A busy Tuesday night, with eight games on the docket, will give us some key goalie starts between the final two teams in the survivor pool, as Jeremy and Allan will both look to stay alive for another week, at the very least.

Allan will get two shots at the win tonight, starting with Connor Hellebuyck getting a start for the Winnipeg Jets, as they travel to Nashville to take on the Predators, who are likely going to be throwing their number one at them, Pekka Rinne (Ryan).

The second chance for Allan will come in the later game, as Ben Bishop and the Lightning are in Calgary to take on Karri Ramo (Brenda & Seward) and the Flames.

Neither test is going to be easy for Allan's goalies, as they are both visiting some pretty good home teams this season.  The schedule for Allan should at least give him a few more opportunities, if things go awry tonight.

Jeremy, on the other hand, only has one keeper going, as his regular number one, Braden Holtby of the Capitals, is also on the road with his side, as they go into the TD Gardens to take on the Boston Bruins, who are likely going to go with Tuukka Rask (Dale C.) in their first game since the Winter Classic.

In other notable starts tonight, Linus Ullmark (Stacey C.) will get the nod for the Sabres with Roberto Luongo (Kristy & Don) and the Panthers in town tonight, while Antti Niemi (Stacey M.) gets the call for the Stars, as they visit Henrik Lundqvist (Derek & Dan) and the Rangers.  Michal Neuvirth (Neil) is the goalie of choice for the Flyers tonight, as they take on Ben Scrivens (Dropped) and the Canadiens.

Otherwise, it's business as usual, I would say.
