The Flyers opened a bit more cap space with a deal that brings Daniel Carcillo to town from Phoenix for Scottie Upshall and a draft pick.

At the end of the day, the Flyers made a reasonable move getting a talented tough guy in Daniel Carcillo, who also brings down the potential cap number for next season by, what could be, a fair margin. Carcillo is already signed on for less than a million per, while Upshall is getting to the point where he could get another raise in the off-season. The Coyotes are a good place for Upshall, as he is going to a younger, skating team in the West, which could accomodate his play very well. The Coyotes also pick-up a second rounder out of Philly, which makes the pot even sweeter.
In the pools, neither player is set to make an impact with their current team on the standings. Fantasy-wise, it may be just the status quo through the end of the season.
