On Thursday night, the Bruins scratched Steve Montador for their game against the Kings. Montador, acquired from Anaheim at the trade deadline, was scratched from the line-up to keep some room open for Matt Hunwick as he remained in the line-up and Dennis Wideman didn't miss any games due to injury.
The Avalanche again find themselves without the services of Paul Statsny, as he will now miss some time, including last night against Edmonton, with a bruised foot. The Avalanche haven't disclosed the severity of the injury, but there hasn't been any word on x-rays or anything like that. If the foot is only bruised, he shouldn't be out of the line-up for very long.
