Horrible news for the Predators and Peter, as they have lost Martin Erat for the remainder of the regular season and likely the bulk of the playoffs, saying that the Predators make it, with a broken leg. Erat hurt himself over the weekend and his injury is as serious as everyone has feared. A broken leg will usually keep a player out of the line-up for upwards of 8 weeks in most cases, which doesn't bode well for Erat's chances of playing again this year.
Erat finishes the season with only 6 games to go in the year, but he has been a huge plus in Peter's chances for winning the Draft this year. Erat finished the season, playing 71 games, scoring 17 goals and adding 33 assists. At the time of his injury, his play was just starting to pick up, which could be the toughest part to swallow of all. His stock could very well be on the rise this summer.
