The Flyers have rescued Kyle McLaren from the AHL by acquiring him from the San Jose Sharks on Wednesday by acquiring him for a 6th round pick.

Now, Kyle McLaren was a pretty big disappointment or maybe I should say that the Sharks are a disappointment, since McLaren, who is in Box 14 of the Sheet, wasn't moved anywhere sooner and had to stay in the NHL. On Monday, I had mentioned to someone (I forget who now) that McLaren will be in play, likely for a pick, and I was right. McLaren does go to Philadelphia and will join a blueline that could use his size. If he was going East, he should have been dealt ages ago, in my opinion. Now he gets 20ish games on the Sheet and that's it. Don't worry about him now, he's worthless for the rest of the year.
