The Bruins sent one of their depth forwards to Anaheim to bolster their blueline with Steve Montador. Montador looks to be strictly a rental player for the Bruins and will give the team a good sixth or seventh defenseman.

There is no question that this deal is central around Steve Montador heading to the Bruins. The Bruins gave up a marginal-to-poor prospect to get him, which reflects terribly on the Ducks right now, but Montador now becomes a viable threat offensively. With 20 points in 65 games, Montador does have some offensive upside, which does lack in Box 14. Look for this deal to be a pure rental though and the Bruins have Nokelainen out of their hair as well.
