Goalie Announcements (Feb 8)

Let's see... what is there to focus upon today?

Well, about those fancy alternate jerseys that teams are wearing after their events?  The New York Rangers haven't posted a schedule for when they wear theirs, unlike the Senators and Sabres, but I know they've worn them a couple of times already.

Nevertheless, the Sens and Sabres are both wearing theirs tonight and maybe there's some intrigue in the hockey pool surrounding these games too.  Perhaps?  Maybe?

Juuse Saros (Eric) versus Craig Anderson (Tony)
Tony's 8th place team is right in the thick of the chase for 4th spot these days and his goalie gets a start in those sharp jerseys from the NHL100 Classic earlier this year.  Tony is only 8 points back of Wilton's team and Craig Anderson will try and take that down by a couple.  Nashville is on back-to-back nights tonight, so that suggests that Juuse Saros will get the nod for the Preds, as Eric's team currently sits atop a group of four teams, all separated by 4 points.

Jaroslav Halak (Benson) versus Robin Lehner (Kristy & Don)
The Sabres have their Winter Classic duds on tonight and they'll play host to the Islanders and the goalie match-up is quite interesting tonight.  Kristy & Don's team have slipped a little, down to 9th place, but they are only 11 points out of 4th.  They get the start for the home side in Robin Lehner, but their task is tough, with Jaroslav Halak in the other net, one of the goalies for the 2nd place team that belongs to Benson.
