Recent Contract Extensions (Feb 10)
On Saturday morning, the Washington Capitals announced that they had re-signed forward Lars Eller to a new 5-year, $17.5 million contract extension, which will have him playing through the 2023 season. Eller has been a fairly consistent player for the Capitals in recent years and has found himself to be a very serviceable player in the hockey pool as well. This season, he currently ranks 193rd overall, 134th among all forwards, with 11 goals and 28 points in 53 games, placed well within the pool worthiness conversation.
This season, he was a Week Nine Waiver Draft pickup for Stacey C.'s team, ranking tied for 11th in scoring in this player swap, after the players had been activated, with Stacey collecting 15 points from the Dane since the start of Week Ten.
