Morning Player Notes in the Draft (Feb 8)
On Wednesday afternoon, the Vancouver Canucks placed forward Sam Gagner on the Injured Reserve, as the 28-year old suffered a sprained ankle in practice earlier in the day and he'll be sidelined for at least a week. The summer free agent signing has been underwhelming this season, scoring 7 goals and 22 points in 52 games, not to mention his -15 plus/minus rating as well.
He hasn't been much help to Scott's hockey pool team this season, even after he was taken rather late, in the 10th round of the draft, he still hasn't lived up to that billing, scoring at a pace that isn't even worthy of the 10th round.
